Postgresql died !!!!!what now ???

hello as i see i am not alone with this problem.after 7 months without problems,i was using v.3.6 of pokertracker and before 3 days when i was trying to start it PT3 shut down.i tried many times and nothing happened,just coudnt start.then i tried then to install v3.7.5 and surprised i saw it worked again.but after finishing my session and closed PT3,it never started again.i get the message Configure Postgresql everytime i try to start pt3
tried to unistall and reinstall postgresql with latest version 8.3.12, 2-3 times,still nothing!!!!THE SERVICE JUST WONT START.i asked remote assistance, i am using this type of help from your site for 2 days now and i get 1 reply every 8-10 hours telling me about firewall and log files(which already sent).Sorry but i start to become frustrated
the reason i posted here is that maybe an other user finally did something that worked.i have backed up my database through pt3 1 month ago and i also have copied the proccessed folder of PT3.you think is better to create a new database and import my data from the backup file?

Have you tried reinstalling PostgreSQL?

sorry but as i mentioned above i tried to reinstall 3 times.how can we arange this remote session?till now help from tickets where questions about what firewall i use

i checked the event viewer for errors with postgresql and i found that the error is this:

FATAL: unrecognized configuration parameter "“zero_damaged_pages"

seems that there is a bad configuration command and if changed and reload configuration maybe works.
i checked the postgresql.conf file and at the end i see this:

“zero_damaged_pages = on”
it seems that if we change value for this command maybe will be fixed

ok i completely removed this command and everything seems to work till now.i am playing a test sng,will close PT3 after and try to start again and see whats going on.

ok everything seems to work normally.but in the event viewer i still get an error every time pokertracker starts,is it important?is something missing?

What version of Windows are you running?

Because the fix varies by operating system. You'll want run this program and that should fix things for you.
