Cannot connect to DB

Ok have sent it to support, just want to mention here before I forget that when I click on services/postgresgl9 then i click properties and log on, I try to change the password to dbpass there and I can't change it, it always reverts back to the old password I must have used initially when I first installed postgresql.

That password is probably not resetting, it just appears to be. The postgres user needs "log on as Service" rights. If that right is not granted, then the error thrown would make one think it is a password issue. Try granting that user that right and see if the service starts as expected in successive tries with having to retype the password. If you are in a domain, you may have a group policy that resets the rights so you will have to deal with that separately. Or use the trust setting mentioned earlier. HTH

No not in a domain, the trust setting is still intact as the data files were not overwritten on the reinstal.

I just played around with it, selected log on as local system account, that didn't worked so changed it back to "this account" and now its running!!!!

I have to wait for it to import aload of hands atm, as soon as its done I will try to backup the db and let u know.

Well, I managed to backup my db and the HUD is running ok. I restarted the pc and had to repeat the steps mentioned previously to get postgresql working again. Looks like I have a temporary fix for now, would like to get it sorted out properly though.

Thanks Kraada for your time, hopefully I will get a response from my ticket sometime soon but at least I am back playing with stats for now, time to start check raising some donks lol.
