To which file does this refer?

Is this for the connection string? Maybe we are not escaping the connection string properly...

Delete all of your postgresql log files then try again and see if this same error occurs. If it does, then this is a problem on our end which we will need to resolve.

This topic can be closed from my side.

I reinstalled and used exact copies of my *.conf files as well as the virtual machine. Everything works right now.

Thanks again for your great support!

See _dave_'s post

Does this also apply to Linux?
I mean, I use LVM with encryption - isn´t there a way to resize the specific partition?

I see you have it working now anyhow - but FWIW, I run my PostgreSQL on Linux - so yes, that post certainly applies there :)

Here's a link on resizing LVM partitions if you still need to know: http://www.linux.org/docs/ldp/howto/LVM ... endlv.html

Okay, then. My system running with Linux Kubuntu and Windows in vmware is still running excellent.

Now I tried to set up another workstation with a different setup:

Host system is still kubuntu. In contrast to the prior setup, now both, the postgredatabase and Pokertracker should run in two different virtual machines.

I used the same data as I did for my first succesfull installation. Unfortunately I get these access problems again.

Where do I have to forward the ports? Only in the virtual machines, or also in the host system?

Thanks for your thoughts in advance.
