Cant get a connection to PostgreSQL

Postby SCHOETZ » Tue Aug 12, 2008 10:55 am

Hi, I cant get a connection to PostgreSQL and so I cant start PT3.

If I unplug my PC from my router everything works, so the problem is my router.

I hope someone can tell me how to configure my router to get everything to work.

Thx a lot.

Sounds like something isn't letting postgres start.
Is postgres installed on the same computer, or somewhere else on the network?
What anti-virus / firewall software are you running?
Try turning this off temporarily rather than unplugging your router.

Ye something doesnt allow postgres to start.
postgres is on the same computer.
antivirus = free antivir
firewall = agnitum outpost
it works with activated firewall / antivir when the computer is unplugged :*(

Have a look in the windows Event Viewer after it fails..
See if there's anything in there.

To open Event Viewer, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Event Viewer.

Sorry, I tryed it again after I switched off my firewall and it worked.

So my firewall must block something, but as fas as i know i didn't block anything.

Here is a screenshot of the allowed tasks.
