Problems with postgresql 8.3 and pt3

Hi,
I have the trial version from 2 days.Win xp.No antivirus, only Zonealarm.After installing was all fine.I shut down the pc.As i switched on again (today) was all incredibly slow AND pt3 couldn't connect to database , probably for postgres privilegies:

Unable to login to database (PT3 DB).Reason: could not connect to server : Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061) Is the server running on host "localhost" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?

I haven't changed anything , rebooting couldn't help neither disabling Zone Alarm neither looking for postmaster.pid(no such file on my pcI).I've looked around and i've seen it is quite a common problem but i haven't seen a definitive solution so i decided to open a thread.If there's already a solution , i'm sorry for repeating it and i'd like to get the link for the thread:).If there's not please help me:)!!!...

Just forget about it...found the right thread...Uninstalled and reinstalled postgres...Now it's all fine...Sorry...You can delete this thread...
