postgres is asking for a pw to connect to database

I have had some pt3 problems which I seemed to have fixed. Or at least I did what was told of me by support etc. When all that was done it asked for my registration code again not sure what thats about. but then postgres comes up and askes for my password and username local host port etc. everything but the password was filled out and I dont ever remember making a password and if I did I entered it once a long time ago. I did a standard with postgres install of pt3 originally havent done anything but use it since. I would have used the pw they recommended anyways if i was asked for one..

any ideas?

The default password is dbpass.
If that doesn't work, you can remove the need for postgres passwords: How To: Remove PostgreSQL Password
