Already installed v 8.3.x

Hello, I have database info stored in version 8.2.x and I already uninstalled 8.2.x, and re-installed 8.3.x, and now 8.3.x can't read my old database files. I already looked at the thread on backing up databases, but this requires v 8.2.x, which I don't have and cannot find anywhere online to download. Is my data now permanently lost?

PostgreSQL 8.2.11 is still available from postgresql.org; once you install 8.2.11, export the data, then reimport into 8.3.x and it should work.
