fatal error while creating first PT3 database

Postby lordoffire » Sun Dec 14, 2008 6:35 am

My year Holdem manager just ended on pokerstarz. So I compared both pokertracker and holdem manager and finally decided to buy pokertracker.
But when I ran poker tracker for the first time it asked me to create a database. No problem I thought, but was I wrong.
15 sec after i hit create i got a fatal error. And a log window looking like this:

Unable to create PostgreSQL database: PT3 DB
Reason: Unable to execute query: --
******************************************************************************************************************
...
...
...
last 4 lines:
INSERT INTO settings VALUES ('icon_desc_12', 'Calling Station');
INSERT INTO settings VALUES ('icon_desc_13', 'Tight/Passive');
INSERT INTO settings VALUES ('icon_desc_14', 'Loose/Passive');
INSERT INTO settings VALUES ('icon_desc_15', 'Tight/Aggressive');
; Reason: Fatal Error (ERROR: could not open relation 1663/16856/2604: No such file or directory )

Please help me, because after a year with a poker tracker, I feel naked without,...
(I have a holdem manager database+postgres 8.3)

Try disabling your anti-virus and see if that helps; if you have an anti-virus that's overzealously set it can cause this sort of issue.

I tried what you said, but With or without the same error.
I don't think it's access is blocked or anything because it takes a while before I get this error, it does alot of things (long log) before it gets the fatal error.
I also already tried reinstalling postgres, no difference...
thanks for the reply anyways!
