Not directly; what you'll need to do is set up PTv2 using that backup, and export all of the hand histories from the database. Then reimport those hand histories into PT3 using the Import From Directory button on the Manual Import tab.

I have a PT2 database that I am trying to import with 300,000+ hands in it. The import into PT3 imports 49,500 hands, finds 8 with invalid pot sizes and stops. Any way to get this to work or do I have to just run with these hands?

What sites are the hands from? If they're from sites that PT3 doesn't yet support, that might be part of the problem. If you haven't upgraded to Beta 23, that adds support for Boss Media and CEREUS(AP), which might be useful for you.

They are mostly from Stars with a few Full Tilt and Party hands. It was working on the Stars hands when the error happened. The database was converted into Postgres in PT2 first. I am considering importing the raw hand histories that PT2 moves when finished. Would that work?

OK I imported all the hands from the directory that PT2 moves them to after processing them. This worked. It skipped past the few error hands and all the stud and omaha hands and kept going. If you still have the raw hands, this was easier than all the mess of converting the PT2 database

Yes, it is. I'm not sure what caused your problems but I'm glad to hear you got it worked out.
