Which Version of PostgreSQL

Postby SMACK68 » Tue Jun 16, 2009 10:52 am

Guys,

I am in the process of installing PostgreSQL on my USB HDD and noticed the latest version available is 8.3.7.

Is it OK to install this version?

I noticed in your PostgreSQL install guide it was based on 8.3.5 but it also recommends downloading the latest version.

Just though I would confirm this before doing something silly (no the first time :)

Cheers,

Chris

Yes, 8.3.7 works just as well (perhaps even slightly better).

Thanks Kraada,

I went with 8.3.7, just in the process of restoring my 4 DB.

First thing I noticed is the restore time for each DB is MUCK quicker.

So far so good.

Cheers,

Chris
