Installing postgres database on mapped network drive

ok, well it's back to your original problem then; what are the permissions on the postgres folder structure you created on the mapped drive?

I've set it so everyone have full access.

definately at the folder level? in an earlier post you talked about setting drive permissions?

Yeah but it seems to the case for all subfolders too. There is no option changing this however.

are the initdb messages in your first post from a pop-up or the postgres log? please post up the log in full...
