Copied postgreSQL folder while it was stil running

The reinstall should complete normally then, at which point you should be able to overwrite the new (and empty) data directory in C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.3\data\ directory with the backup of the data directory and that may do the trick for you.



I tried this, but it didn't work.

Would there be a way to "Browse Databases"? Or use the "New" or "Edit" features under database management? I'm using the trial beta 19 version if that makes a difference.

Please contact Derek (APerfect10) via the Support system to schedule a remote assistance session where he can logon to your computer with you and directly troubleshoot/resolve the issue.
