Make a copy of your PokerTracker.cfg file (just in case), then edit it to remove all of the DBX lines (where X is a number, DB1, DB2, etc) under the [Database] section. The PokerTracker.cfg file is in C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\Data\Config\. That will remove any saved databases from PT3's configuration, then you can try and set one up by browsing the database when you restart PT3.

I finally managed to properly reinstall postgeresgq and to start it. I now see it running under task manager under processes as postgres.exe...

However, now when I try importing I get the following message: Unable to begin import process. Reason: Unable to login to database (PT3 DB). Reason: FATAL: database "PT3 DB" does not exist

Suggestions how to fix that one? In the postgresql/8.3/data folder I found postmaster.pid and deleted it, then restarted but the message above keeps on popping up...

Thanks for the help

I have the same problem since today, can I start directly with the step from "kraada", or do I have to delete postgre first ...

You should be able to just restart the postgres service:

Please try starting the postgres service: Start -> Programs -> PostgreSQL -> Start Service.
If that, and a reboot doesn't work, try stopping the service (Start -> Programs -> Postgres -> Stop Service), running a search on your computer for postmaster.pid and then deleting that file, then restarting the service and see if that helps.
Note that you may need to turn on 'View hidden files and folders', and the file seems to be in the folder './Program Files/postgresql/[version]/data'.
