You can stop/start the service, or just reboot - that will force it to reload the config.

Nice one, it booted up fine. Thanks.

Only problem is now the table goes grey or black when i open up a table and autoimport. The HUD shows up but the rest of the table is black (occassionally grey).

Should I post this in another area of the forum?

There were some issues with layered windows in WINE (in general, not in PT3), and I don't know whether that was fixed, but the Logitech SetPoint software causes an issue like that in "normal" windows - you're not using that, are you? (If so, updating to the latest version should fix it.)
Kraada may know more about the Wine issue but he's not around for the weekend.

Sorry, not sure what you mean with 'normal' windows. It's just running through wine as far as I know.

It isn't a permanent problem is it? I know Mepis uses the old deb libs, which can cause some issues, although they are very stable. If I work out what the issue is I could try the Mepis forum. Or wait til Monday.

I mean Windows running natively on a PC.

This is an old post, but I don't remember hearing that it was fixed...

Subject: HUD on Kubuntu Linux

SeanJFraley wrote:Currently there are problems with the HUD on WINE in any Linux distribution. This is due to the fact that the implementation of layered windows is not currently finished in WINE and is necessary to properly handle the HUD overlay.

I haven't actively been following the Wine progress - from what I recall they needed to implement alpha transparency properly in order for the HUD to work. I don't know whether or not they've done so since the last time this came up - what version of Wine are you running?

Looking at my PM I think i'm running Wine 1.1.38, which seems old.

Yeah, I'd say try 1.3.5 and see where that gets you.
