Should I uninstall both 8.3 and 8.4 and try and install SQL from scratch?

Please create the ticket as requested - uninstalling may not be necessary but we won't know for certain until we see the logs.

The supported ticket suggested I should re install 8.4 version.

I followed the instructions carefully and i was able to uninstall and install the 8.4 version in my PC.

I wasn't able to find the processes postgre.exe so I followed plan B and clicked on the Start server then a black screen appeared with the blinking command line
but nothing else happened so I had to close the window...

I get the followin message from the PT3:

Could not connect to server: connection refused 0x0000274D/10061 is the server running on host "???" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?

I assume its a firewall issue but I have already allowed my AVG firewall and enabled the .exe related to PT3 and postgre (only one of the 4 mentioned at the firewall configuration tutorial seemed to be enabled in the first place) rebooted, but still get the template1 error...

Can you please help?

Please let the technician in your ticket know of this behavior and he will continue to work with you to get everything resolved. It is better to keep everything in one place so that no information gets lost.
