After many failures, I was about to give up, when your newest release notice was found. After attempting the last 2 versions several times (first upgrade, then full installation)... I am now without a working database (have another now), without HUD and without PokerTracker.

I am back to the early days of PT2 in that I cannot even get PT3 to accept my player name. What do you suggest? Any easier instructions? (I am not looking forward to going through the whole procedure of learning to set-up PT3 again)

I finally got PT3 and Postgresql and HUD working (limited histories). But since loading IE8 2 days ago, then reloading PT3 and Postgresql due to Vista-Postgresql problems, and then loading new PT3 Beta version, I have now lost all of my hand histories prior to Dec. 14, 2008 plus all manually entered tournament results plus my PT2 results! (and after 8 hours of downloading and housekeeping, etc.) (glad I put NOTES on poker site and not PT3)

It doesn't sound like the problem, but check that you don't have a filter set - click 'Clear'.

Re-installing PT3 doesn't affect your databases at all, and re-installing the same version of PostgreSQL shouldn't either, as long as you didn't delete the Data folder.

Did you re-install the same PostgreSQL version, and keep your database, as described in How to reinstall PostgreSQL?
Did you make a backup of your database before you re-installed, or even export your hand histories?
If you did either of those you'll be able to restore/re-import them.

tried to install the database but the link asks you to chose a 'mirror' and none of the mirrors for US work. Can't run your software at all on my vista computer.

Funny I haven't ever had a problem with the US mirrors - try a non-US mirror then; the download will still work, it just will take a little longer.
