sweet lord..praise the lord LOL

sooooo

control panel/add remove programs>>>uninstall postgres SQL 8.3
start/run/cmd

type " net user postgres/delete" if it gives error mesaage that the user does not exist, move on

controlpanel/add rem programs >>>> uninstall ptracker 3

DO NOT DELETE manually the postgres nor the pt folder on c:

restart

install latest version (build 15) WITH postgres sql

now, go into c:/programfiles/pokertracker3 folder and double click "postgressql-8.3.msi" go through all the installation process and on all fields asking for pass go with the pass that you already had setup on the previous install (mine was default "dbpass")

next step it will be Initializing a new DB cluster ...DO NOT do that...skip the step by unchecking the Initialize new cluster mark (even if you go through that you will be given an error message stating that the folder is not empty and you either must empty it or skip the step about initializing a new cluster) ..click next...and skip the Stack Builder install

all done

should be running like a charm after.... i was reluctant on uninstalling the Postgres or PT3 untill i found a 2p2 thread where a guy mentioned it will not delete the DB unless you manually do so on C (ofc this was stated already on the forums FAQ here too but i was too pissed to notice)

i didnt know what was going on after reinstalling PT3 (same error) untill i realized i didnt have Postgres installed yet... do the steps above and it should work ok
