Putting the DB in postgreSQL on a Web Server

Hey all,

I have a Web Host who can provide postgreSQL DB hosting.

I have the host address, port etc. And PT3 is sooo close to working.

But the problem appears to be with the user privileges to create the DB. Ive spoken to the Web Hosts, and they are a little confused as to what exactly I am trying to do.

I can run SQL code, and create databases via the web admin panel, but cannot do it via PT3.

Has anyone had experience of doing this?

Is there any SQL code I can run that will create the PT3 DB automatically, so PT3 doesnt have to do it?

Any help is appreciated.

No, but when you are using pt3, and you setup the postgresql part, it asks for username/password. Are you using the same ones that you use to login to the postgresql database via the web?

Here is one site I built that uses a PT3 database (I have another site that uses 3 more PT3 databases).

This one and the others are for keeping track of poker leagues. Let me know what you think.

Thought I would update this with the second site where I use the PT3 database on a web server for league statistic. It works really good.

That's pretty neat, I'm glad to hear it's working well for you.
