New Postgresql builds--update?

Postby dumdidum » Mon Sep 22, 2008 11:39 am

There are some new postgresql versions out there which fix bugs.

Do you recommend for or against updating at this point? If I update, will my PT databases be affected in any way?

We currently recommend 8.3.3.
If you are updating from anothe 8.3.x version then you don't need to do anything else - I did this myself from 8.3.1 to 8.3.3 a week or 2 ago.

If you are updating from a different major version (e.g. 8.2.x) then you will need to backup your databases and restore them into the new version.
