Hi,

I have a huge database (100 Go) and right now the harddisk is constantly using 100% of his ressources. That's makes slow down my computer hugely.

Here is a screenshot in the ressources monitor :

What is PT3 doing when you see this disk activity?
How much free disk space do you have on that disk?

What is the processor activity like?
Do you have a lot of applications running?

PT3 is not launched.
I have 40Go left on the harddisk.
Nothing is launched and the processor activity is about 0-10%.

Everything is ok but the harddisk activiy :?

I'm trying to change the number work_mem and shared_buffers but it implies some others problems with postgressql (impossible to connect, see this : viewtopic.php?f=17&t=12301)

You could try stopping the postgres service while you make your changes: Start -> Programs -> Postgres -> Stop Service; then restart it.
