Hey, i just bought a new computer, and was wondering if you have a tutorial or link on how to setup my postgresql database and PT3 on my new comp. i have saved all my HH and processed files on a separate hard drive. some are from pt3 and some are from pt2 if that matters any. Thanks.

Download and install PT3 Build 3 with postgres -this will do all the postgres set up for you.
Please check out our Quick Start Guide and Documentation.
IF you have any specific questions, please ask.

okay so maybe i dont have all my hand histories from pt3. when i imported them into my new pt3 database, i only had 45,000... exactly. i know i have at least 250,000 hands. my old computer crashed, and thats why i bought a new one. i was never able to back up my postgresql database on my old comp. does that mean that i lost over 200,000 hands? is there a way i can still get into my old postgresql database w/o having my old computer up and running?

Do you mean you have exactly 45,000 hands? That sounds like you've only imported some of the files - or only have some of the files.

I think it will be possible to recover your database from the old disk if you can't sort out the HH file import, but I can't give you the detail of how to do this so I'll move this into the postgres section of the forum and get someone to take a look at it for you.
