Turning on/off PostgreSQL?

Postby forumer9 » Thu Oct 16, 2008 6:19 pm

I have noticed that i can manually start/stop PostgreSQL service.

I would like to do this:
1. in Control Panel> Admin Tools> Services put PostgreSQL so its on MANUAL start
(so it will not start when my comp boots up)
2. before starting PT3 i will start it manually
3. when i close PT3 i will stop it manually

is this doable? will there be any problems?

i hate to see it just sit in my memory...

That's fine - in fact PT3 should start it for you if it's not running already..
