Idiots guide to tranferring data files to new PC?

Postby HMOGG » Fri Oct 31, 2008 9:24 am

Hi

Have read various posts on how to copy the data files to a new PC - but to be honest is too much information.

I am struggling to make this work...

Surely there must be a simple step-by-step manual?

Thanks

You can't just copy files if you want to move your database: you have to backup and restore it.
See the Database / Postgres FAQ.

The very simplest way is just to install PT3 on the other computer and copy the hand history files across and use manual import to import them, but that won't copy tournament results at the moment.

To copy your HUD layout across, copy the file:
c:\program files\pokertracker 3\data\layouts.pt3
