I have a new computer with Vista , I believe I have followed all instuctions on installing PostgreSQL , however , the installation gets almost to the end when a box appears that says "User "postgres" could not be created access denied" and the installation stops. What do I need to do?

Did you let PT3 install it? Did you run PT3 as Admin?

If you are running as an administrator and still having problems; try disabling 'User Account Control' then installing.

That worked! Thanks guys. I have another question. I am trying to get my DB from the old computer to the new one and I somehow restored it but it is not recognized by PT. It says go to File , Maintain DB names to get it recognized but I am having problems doing that , how do I get PT to recognize it?
