Trying to Reinstall PostgreSQL

Postby djhavok101 » Fri Nov 28, 2008 3:44 pm

I'm having problems reinstalling PostgreSQL. I went to your FAQ page to fine tune Postgre. Unistalled it and tried to do a reinstall. I followed your directions and downloaded the zip files as instructed. 2 problems I encountered. First there is no file to install manually. I just have a file that doesn't have that .mis or whatever you stated to install manually after it. When I double click the only option, it takes me through the set up process. But, I get stuck on service confiq part that requires a password. I was told the password should be dbpass. But, that does not work. I tried installing without checking the install as a service, but pt3 does not recognize it. The version i tried to download is the 8.3.5. I clicked win32 and have been very frustrated with this. What am i doing wrong here.

Also I want to add. I searched your forum in detail to find a solution for this with no help.
