PT3 can not find my PT2 SQL DB for conversion

I first converted PT2 access database to postgreSQL format, apparently succesfully (SQL version 8.2.6 and port 5433 in use). New postgreSQL DB opens neatly in PT2.
But when I try to convert it to PT3 format (Database -> Convert -> Convert Poker Tracker 2 database), PT3 can not find it. Any ideas? Reboot (windows XP) didn't help.

The easiest thing to do will be to export all hand histories from PTv2 by clicking Utilities --> Export Hand History to File ... and export your hands to a new blank directory. Then in PT3 go to the Manual Import tab and click Import From Directory and import all of those hand histories directly into PT3.

This will bring over all data from PTv2 except manually entered tournament summaries.
