Set of Protgres perfect except....

It said i had no mapping between account names and security ID's. This would pop up near the end of when protgres was installing. I am completely lost please help.

I went through the steps word for word and then when it was in the process of installing postgres a window popped up and said error. The error box said "Internal account lookup failure. No mapping between account names and security IDs was done." Then it would not let me finish and then proceeded to uninstall what ever it had installed up to that point.

Are you using Windows XP Professional in a domain?

I'm sorry i am very computer illiterate and do not know, how do i check.

Is your computer a single home computer, or is it used for work / connected to a work network, that kind of thing?

It is at my college house. There are 3 other computers other than mine and all 4 of us are on the same network using a wireless router.

none of them knew if we were or not.

what would i do if I was in one and what would I do if I was not in one...because i have followed the tutorial word for word and i am completely lost by what they mean by no internal mapping was done...
