what would this do to my Database?

If i deleted the PostgreSQL logs that are stored in that directory? would this affect my PTDB in any way?

I don't know that much about the inner workings of postgres but I'm sure I remember someone saying recently that the logs are important. I can't find the post now, though. I would hold off deleting them until we can find out for sure.

The only log files which are safe to delete are within the data/pg_log directory. You can delete all of those files in that directory...

Other directories such as pg_clog and pg_xlog should not be touched.

thank you!! what about the ones in the "Base" folder? thats where most of my space is being taken up.

That is your actual database files. DO NOT DELETE THEM.

It is only safe to delete the files in the data/pg_log directory.
