Not sure what I have done, but this is my error.

You probably deleted part of the password. The default password is 'dbpass' (no quotes).
If that doesn't work, you can remove the need for postgres passwords: How To: Remove PostgreSQL Password

Still nothing ....tried to remove passwords to no avail. I had used PT3 trial version for 59 days and tried Holdem Manager the last few days. I could never get HM to work and wonder if I have changed more than a password somewhere. I purchased PT3 yesterday and now nothing works at all. Stil stuck in the mud.

Yes, I suspect something has got messed up in your postgres set up.
Please follow this guide to re-install it: How to reinstall Postgres
This explains how you can retain your existing database while you do this.

Please contact Derek (APerfect10) via the Support system to schedule a remote assistance session where he can logon to your computer with you and directly troubleshoot/resolve the issue.

He is available from 10AM-5PM EDT and then again from 11PM-2AM EDT. Please pick a date and time that works best for you and he will add you to his schedule. Please provide him with at least 24 hours advance notice to ensure that he receives your message and is available.
