UNABLE TO COMPLETE DATABASE BACKUP

So i followed this backup procedure until step 4

However, it hangs and when i check task manager, it shows pgadmin "not responding"

How long does it take approximately? Should i just leave it and wait?

Does it hang before or after you click 'ok'? If it's after, it's most likely just running and you should simply wait. Depending on the size of your database it can take a while.
