Problem with postgres

I have downloaded PT3 but when I went to download postgres some things happen. I am able to get through the entire installation but at the end it says that the installation was stopped because of an error. It doesn't tell me what the error was. I am also using vista but went through everything that the tutorial told me to go through.
Hopefully someone can help.

Try installing PostgreSQL manually per
this tutorial and see if that works better for you.

I was using that one. The error comes up. I will try again later.
I also used to have postgres on this computer, could that be why it is screwing things up?

It's hard to say without the actual text of the error message.

that is what comes up. Then it says that there was an error so it didn't fully install.

Did you follow all the steps in the uninstall part of that guide?
Although it's hard to read that error (maybe you can post just the error message box?) it looks like an account error, which probably means you haven't removed the 'postgres' user.
