Getting a corrupt file message on task bar

Postby guitarjaws » Sun Jun 28, 2009 2:48 pm

The other night my computer froze while I was playing poker and running pokertracker. Once I got my system running again, I kept getting this pop up message on the bottom right of my task bar saing,

"pstgres.exe- Corrupt file
The file or directory I:\program
files\postgreSQL\8.3\data\global Is corrupt and unreadable."

PokerTracker has been running fine and seems to be okay but this message keeps poping up every two seconds after I close it. What should I do, I hope I'm not S.O.L.
Thanks for any help

Open a DOS prompt (Start > Run; and enter "cmd").
Do a "chkdsk /F" there.

Reboot your computer afterwards for the error checking to run and attempt to fix issues.
Once rebooted do a full VACUUM/ANALYZE on your database which should resolve the issue.
