HELP! PLZz

Hello,

hope anyone can help me out, i looked into the task-manager at my brothers PC... oh 5 times postgres.exe was open... i uninstalled postgresql :? from the PC BUT my bother does play professional poker :o and needs the databank for pokertracker OMG! Now i don'T know what to do to get it back and make it work as i would never had deinstalled it... :roll:

first: sorry i am from germany if my english is not so good.

second: please write your helping awnser simple,... for a better understanding.

i am using windows on my system,... i did download postgres version 8.4 if i do install via the install wizard it tells me to type a password and retype the password from the account which does already exists on PC BUT i don't know the password anyways and my brother doesn't know it anymore too... by the side i am a newbie in installing linux software on a xp machine.

so what can i do to get it workin?

Start --> Run --> type 'cmd' and hit enter. At the prompt type 'net user postgres /delete' and hit enter (without the quotes). Then you can put in whatever password you'd like for the postgres windows user as you'll be creating the account.

so, i only want to get posttracker/postgresql workin.... i deinstalled postgresql and deleted all existing folders and files... then i did type net user delete into the cmd and it told me command successful done... i did download postgresql 8.4 for windows (one click installer) then i install via the install wizard but it still tells me "password incorrect - please enter the correct password to the account " or something like that.. :( :(

Don't use the one click installer. Use the pgInstaller. There's a walkthrough for the pgInstaller in this guide.
