Adding hole cards to database

Postby raster846 » Fri Sep 18, 2009 9:38 pm

Hi, I belong to a group of poker players that meet and discuss, of all things, poker. we want to run through the PT3 replayer a tournament that several of us played. I was wondering if there was any way to add the known hole cards from player A into the PT3 database, so that hole cards for Players A & B would show up on the replayer for the same hand?

Sort of like this: Hand History # 1703078xx, players ABCD holecards[Ad.Ks] and then player cardshark holecards[Qd,Qs]

Is it possible to add hole cards into the PT3 database/table, multiple players holecards for the same hand?

You could do this by adding the hole card information for each player as "showed" information in the hand history files before you import them, but there isn't a way to do this within PT3 once the hands have been imported.

Hi, I am attempting to do as you suggested, adding the "playerA shows [x x]" into the hand history. Exactly where do I place this data?

For example the HH layout is like:

Header info, seat info, antes, SB, BB & Button positon and ***HOLE CARDS***
Then comes PF action, ***FLOP***, F action, Turn, T action etc.
and finally ***SUMMARY***

So where would I place the shows cards in the above layout? Is there a specific spot or is it trial and error?

This would be most useful for replaying in front of a group
Thanks

It might actually be easiest to mimic the details at the end of a hand when a person chooses to voluntarily show cards.

What poker site are these hands being played at?

Yes, that's what I was intending - this will be in the Summary section, but as kraada says the easiest thing to do will be to find a hand where someone shows voluntarily, although any showdown hand should show you the format you need.

Excellent advice!! I added the showed cards to the summary as you mentioned. It works like a charm. Now hole cards for both players are displaying at start of hand in the PT3 replayer.
Oh, I used Textpad as the editor instead of notepad. It aligns the hand history perfectly and is much easier to read.

Thanks for your help!
