PosgreSQL ODBC driver

Postby theblitz » Fri Sep 25, 2009 5:04 am

I want to connect my PT database to MS Access using ODBC.
However, when I try to find it in Access it is not listed under possible ODBC sources.

Further investigation showed me that the PostgreSQL ODBC driver doesn't seem to be there at all. Do I need to download it separately?

It depends exactly how you installed PostgreSQL as to whether the driver will be there by default or not. Regardless, you should be able to download it from the Stack Builder (Start --> Programs --> PostgreSQL --> Stack Builder), I believe it's under the Database Drivers section.

I am curious, why would you want to be linked with Access?

Using Access I can create all sorts of graphs I want (Bar Charts, Scatter Diagrams and more).

Got the ODBC from the PostgreSQL site. Downloaded psqlODBC.
