Imported 500k hands, new database but they dont show?

Postby gpete888 » Mon Nov 16, 2009 7:47 am

So I have created a new database for my observed hands. I followed the instructions and set the observed database as default/active as I was using the manual import to import all of the hands. After an entire night of importing and housekeeping my hand count has not changed. I had 700k hands before the import and I still have 700k hands now.

This is the first time that I created a new database. I just had my first database for all of the 700k hands and I wanted to keep things tidy and create a new one only for observed hands.

Any help is appreciated.

EDIT: I have just figured it out. I had to change the database back to active after I rebooted the PC as it automatically put my original database as the active/default one.

So the question now is: With two databases, will the hud be able to retrieve the data from both of them? Or will it only show from the one which is currently active?

Yes the HUD can show data from both databases. You can configure this setting on the HUD Options tab of HUD Configuration.

What if I want to analyze statistics from certain individuals in PT3 itself? For example I have 300 hands in database 1 on Person 1 and I have 700 hands in database 2 on Person 1. What if I want to view stats based on all 1000 hands? Is there a way to do this?

The only way to do that is using the HUD. You can use the HUD on the replayer to see data on a given player from both databases, but you can't combine data from multiple databases in PT3 reports at this point in time.
