Postby DFX56 » Tue Dec 15, 2009 9:41 am

Hello!

I will have to remove Windows and put on another one, so now i would like to export database and than import it when i have new System and PT3 on. Now i would like to ask what i have to do, i really wouldnt like to lose 150k hands i have in this database... i did export hands and i got some folder with lots of files which contains hand histories... this is all i have to do and than i import this hands in new PT3 ?? Is there anything else i have to do ??

Thank you very much for your help,

You have three options:

(1) Export the hands per this tutorial, then move them to the new computer and reimport, and bring over any configurations you have saved.
(2) Backup the database via Database --> Database Management --> Backup (you need to upgrade to Beta 29.1 for this), then use the restore function on Beta 29.1 on the new computer (and bring over any configurations you've saved as explained in (1)).
(3) Wait for Beta 30, which we are hoping to have out before the end of the year which will have a new backup interface that can roll everything into one file that will be all you need to bring over to the new machine.

I did export all hands to some folder and also i did backup of database so hopely one of these things will work when i will be setting up new PT3 on new system.
