Convert PT3 dbinto PT2 db

Postby catz » Fri Jun 04, 2010 5:08 pm

Hi,

Is there any way of converting backwards a PT3 DB into a PT2 DB as I want to use software such as PokerEV ad Poker Grapher to do some analysis of tournament play.

Thanks

The only way to go is to export the hands you want from the PT3 database and then import them into a PT2 database.

I have PT2 running now, but the pokerstars hand histories i am using are probably too new the error i am getting is "unable to get the blind strcuture(2) for tournament game #....." any idea what is wrong with the hand histories ( I dont mind writing a script to convert them to what PT2 wants) they currently look like:

PokerStars Game #111161: Tournament #2475, Hold'em No Limit - Level I ($10/$20) - 2010/33/29 - 18:33:44 (ET)
Table '22221870 1' 2-max Seat #1 is the button
Seat 1: OMAR_V2 ($1690 in chips)
Seat 2: OMAR ($1310 in chips)
OMAR_V2: posts small blind $10
OMAR: posts big blind $20
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to OMAR_V2 [As 8h]
Dealt to OMAR [2d 4h]
OMAR_V2: raises $70 to $80
OMAR: folds
Uncalled bet ($60) returned to OMAR_V2
OMAR_V2 collected $40 from pot
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot $40 | Rake $0
Seat 1: OMAR_V2 (button) (small blind) collected ($40)

Try the 2.17.4 version and see if that works better (Download page).

PT2 is no longer officially supported and I don't personally have access to the way in which it runs its imports. Do you still have the original hand histories? That might be worth a try.

I have the original hand histories, these are the ones PT2 will not accept
