Unable to create PostgreSQL
PT3_2010_10_21_144457
REASON:UNABLE TO LOGIN TO DATABASE
(PT3_2010_10_21_144457). Reason: server closed the
connection unexpectedly This probably means the server
terminated abnormall before or while processing the request.

Thanks for your help,
Kevin

P.S.

OS=Vista The problem started today...So, I download the latest release, and still get the same thing.

Is the PostgreSQL service running? Do you see any postgres.exe processes in Task Manager > Processes?

If you haven't rebooted, try that first.

This often indicates a firewall blocking PostgreSQL, or PostgreSQL not running for some reason.
Please check our Firewall Guide and if that doesn't help click Start, type in services.msc and hit enter. Locate and attempt to start the PostgreSQL service. If it starts, try again in PT3. If it doesn't start, click Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer and look in the Application folder there for PostgreSQL errors - if you find any, double click them and paste the error text into a Support ticket.

Same Problem here. First occurance 2 Days ago out of nothing.

I checked the Firewall and did what the guide said.
The PostgreSQL processes are running in the Taskmanager.
It also showed up under services.msc

If i STOP the service and fire up Pokertracker3. Pokertracker starts the Service automatically and then it starts working, but not for long.

Then please stop the service, restart PT3 with Logging Enabled, and after it crashes attach the most recent file in C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.3\data\pg_log as well as the PokerTracker.log file to a support ticket as explained in this post and we will investigate further for you.
