connecting to database on another computer

I want to connect to a database on another computer. Support gave me a link to a post that doens't work for me. I pm'ed the post's author and he told me to write a new post.

Basically i play poker on a virtual machine and use another statistics software that uses poker tracker stats. I have to have the software connect from my host computer to my remote virtual machine where i play poker. So do i need to install poker tracker on my remote machine and postsql or just postsql.

The best thing is to reply to your orignial ticket (or thread) where your previous information is. If someone gave you an invalid link, or the information wasn't correct, it would be useful to know that so that we can get it updated.

That said, there are links to help set up things like this in the Database / PostgreSQL FAQ, and Kraada should be on later and he'll be able to help you if you are still stuck.

it might work still with poker tracker 3 but i am not sure if i am doing in right.

That should still work, as far as I'm aware. Did all the steps in the tutorial succeed correctly?
Please reply to your ticket will where we have full information, and give details of exactly what is and isn't working.
