System requirements for Windows xp?

I have PT2 running with Acess databases under windows xp and FAT 32 as the data system.

If i want to install PT3 and the obligate PostgrSQL database system, must i change my data system of the hard drive
from FAT 32 to NTFS?
In this case, which is the most economic solution for me to change the Data System
without complete new installation of the system software?

NTFS is ideal but you should not have any problems running PostgreSQL on FAT32. I'm not sure its worth the hassle since doing this would require you formatting your entire drive and reinstalling everything. Give it a shot on FAT32 before you proceed.

Glad to hear that,

i had the B-Version of PT3 allready running and tried to datamining my limits and at the same time using PT2 for feeding my current
databases with stats for PA HUD. This caused a system crash after a couple of minutes every time i tried and i thought the problem was the FAT 32 Data System.
Maybe i was wrong and the system was overloaded with PT2 and PT3.

anyway. i will try PT3 again and this time alone....

Converting from FAT32 to NTFS does not require reformatting or reinstalling. There is a Microsoft utility built into Windows XP to do this. Make sure you do a backup before you run it, just in case.

Thanks, I was unaware of that. Its been ages since I've used FAT32 therefore I have little/no experience converting between the file systems.
