PostgreSQL for Windows7

I wish to download the correct version of PostgreSQL for Windows 7 and I am assuming it should be 8.4x. I went to the site in the Pker Tracker 3 documentation (http://www.enterprisedb.org/products/pg ... do#windows) and when I click on the windows version of 8.4 I am getting the following error

SSL error (I am using Google Crome)

This is probably not the site you are looking for!
You attempted to reach www.enterprisedb.org, but instead you actually reached a server identifying itself as *.enterprisedb.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration on the server or by something more serious. An attacker on your network could be trying to get you to visit a fake (and potentially harmful) version of www.enterprisedb.org. You should not proceed.

When I tried the same thing using IE8 I got an invalid certificate error

So for now I have stopped

I was using PT3 with no issues but my PC died and I had to get a new one with a whole new hard drive so I am starting over.

That's the correct website; you can ignore the invalid certificate error.

Thanks...ok I installed as per the manual however when I go to Task manager I do not see postgreSQL running under all processes. I did check off all users. When I start Server it said it was starting then I got this error

The postgresq1-8.4 - PostgreSQL Server 8.4 service could not be started
The service did not report and error
More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 3534
The start command returned an error (2)
Press <return > to continue...

I did not see an errors when I installed and I followed the 8.4 Help manual to the letter

Thank you

Please try a reboot first - that can sometimes allow PostgreSQL to start.
Also check our Firewall Guide as that is often a cause of problems with starting PostgreSQL.

If that doesn't help click Start --> Run, type in "services.msc" (without the quotes) and hit enter. Locate the PostgreSQL service and attempt to start it. If it fails to start, click Start --> Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Event Viewer and click on Application in the top left pane. Look for an error in the top middle pane relating to PostgreSQL. Double click it to bring up the error message and paste or type it into a Support ticket and that will give us more detail as to what's keeping PostgreSQL from running.

Another thing to try (I know it's explained for XP but it should work similarly even for Win7): here.
