Data base from lap top to my pc

I run PT3 on my laptop computer and on my office pc and it works great, but i was wondering if its possible to keep them both updated with my current stats and stats on other players. What i mean is i made a backup file along time ago from my laptop database, and loaded it on to my pc, and this worked fine and i had the same stats on both machines! But what will happen if i tried the same thing again? will it update and merge the databases or will it just overwrite the database that i have on my pc?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! as i would love both machines to have more accurate and up to date stats
