Unable to copy statistics from STDIN under Wine

Hi everybody,

i guess my problem deals with the PostgreSQL Database. Here is the error-message when I try to import handhistories from PokerStars:

"Unable to import hand. Reason: Unable to execute query: COPY holdem_hand_player_statistics FROM STDIN;; Reason: Fatal Error (ERROR: missing data for column "val_curr_conv" CONTEXT: COPY holdem_hand_player_statistics, line 1: "1 2 2 0 1 1 2011/01/21 23:36:19 0 4 f t 0 f 0 f t f f f 0 f 0 f f f f f 0 f 0 f f f f f 0 f 0 f f f ..." )
2011/01/25 19:57:23:"

This is my system:

Kernel : Linux 2.6.31-14-generic (i686)
Compiled : #48-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 16 14:04:26 UTC 2009
C Library : GNU C Library version 2.10.1 (stable)
Default C Compiler : GNU C Compiler version 4.4.1 (Ubuntu 4.4.1-4ubuntu9)
Distribution : Linux Mint 8 Helena - Fluxbox CE

This is my hardware:

Processor : Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.86GHz
Memory : 1018MB (437MB used)
Operating System : Linux Mint 8 Helena - Fluxbox CE
Resolution : 1024x768 pixels
OpenGL Renderer : Mesa DRI Intel(R) 915GM GEM 20090712 2009Q2 RC3 x86/MMX/SSE2

This is what I did:

1. First I installed PostgreSQL under Linux with "#apt-get install postgresql postgresql-client". I created a new user:
* #su
* #su postgres
* #creatuser -P username (-P to set a password)
* #exit & #exit (exit su, come back to normal user)

2. Next step: Wine stuff
* #wget http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks
* #chmod +x winetricks (to execute the script)
* #./winetricks fakeie6
* #./winetricks mdac28

3. The PostgreSQL-Windows-Driver:
* go to http://www.postgresql.org/ftp/odbc/versions
* Choose Msi
* Choose the "good" file and Download it, in my case I chose psqlodbc_08_03_100.zip
* Unzip
* #wine msiexec /i psqlodbc.msi

4. Because of some failed tests with "PokerTracker 3" I furthermore installed the "Internet Explorer 7" with "Winetricks" and these programms manually: "DCOM98", "MDAC 2.8", "Jet 4.0 SP8".

5. At least I wasn't able to fix the splash-screen-problem with "PokerTacker V.3.08.1" even with minimizing the splash with "wmctrl". So I decided to install "PokerTracker V.3.00.b28.1".

That works fine. I use the trial version.

My (hopefully) last problem is the above mentioned error-message. This has to do with "PostgreSQL" I guess. The error appears when I try to import handhistories manually or automatically. Also the HUD is not working correctly with "PokerStars". The HUD is just black as soon as it starts.

Can anyone help me?

Frank

That error should go away if you update to one of the latest versions on the Download page - either 3.08.1 or 3.09 should be fine. That indicates that your database has been updated but that you're now using an older version again so the information being imported doesn't match what the database expects.

Awesome,

you are the man! I don't know why but with 3.09 beta the problem with the splash screen isn't any more. It is running.

Thanks a lot WhiteRider.
