Are you using Windows? What version?
You will need to be logged in using an administrator account in order to be able to install PostgreSQL.
If you have tried to uninstall you will need to follow the uninstall/reinstall guide in the Documentation to FULLY uninstall before you can re-install - this walks you through all the steps you need to take.

well i am totally lost right now.
I have windows 7 and i just bought my laptop yesterday in bangkok.

So i tried to directlyt install pt3 but i met many problems.

First of all, when ive installed postgresql automatically with pt3 i had a rolling back action and a message error saying i have to read and copy a folder before.

Then i delete everything pt3 and postgresql but apparently it didnt remove it properly because i never used the tutorial yu linked me before.

Anyway afterwards i download again pt3 and tried to install it back but now i dont have pt3 asking me to install it automatically postgresql, i have a window named configure postgrresql server with the password 'dbpass' appearing .. when i try to click in the buton connect i have a error message telling me' unable to connect to this data base'. Please check the configuration.

I dont know if everything is clear for yu, but its not for me and it stars to drive me crazy. i absolutely tried to do everything but now i definately need your help guys.

That warning is expected behavior and our tutorial expects that to be the case.

After you finish the uninstall you get that warning - it's ok, and expected. Then you run the net user postgres /delete command, then, if you want to start over 100% from scratch you can delete your postgres data directory. Then you reinstall and it should install successfully for you.

I cannot type the command /delete stuff because postgresql programm is delete from my computer but maybe there are some folders which dont want to disapear.
All wat i can noticed now is that after i write my code, i have the postgresql wondows detector which the password to type and its daid when i click on ok cannot install postgresgl please check the configuration.

To sum up i cannnot even install it.

Is there way yu can help me directly on my computer by team viewer or something because i think it can be very long like that.
