Can't get PostgreSQL to start

Thing is I have downloaded PostgreSQL before when I was gonna try the PT3 trial but I couldnt get it to work back then either.

But now I finally bought it and I uninstalled PostgreSQL according to this guide: http://www.pokertracker.com/products/PT ... SQL8-4.pdf

Then I also installed it according to the same guide. So far so good. Installation seems to have been completed but when I open the task manager no Postgres process is running.

I tried to go to "start server" as shown in the manual but then I get the message in the commandor prompt " System error 5 has occoured. Acces denied."
And if I try to start server as admin the prompt just pops up but nothing happends.

Can you please help me out?

Sometimes a firewall can interfere with PostgreSQL starting - please read our Firewall Guide.

If you still have trouble please open a Support ticket and attach the last few files from the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\PostgreSQL\8.3\data\pg_log
(or whichever PostgreSQL version you have). Include a link to this thread as the reference and one of our support techs will work with you to get things sorted.

I don't think it's a firewall since I only use the windows firewall and AVG free virusprogram. Tried to switch of the windowsfirwall without any success.

But I have now sent a support ticket. I'm using Postgres 8.4.
