Hi all,

I tried now all the different troubleshooting steps on your site, and what I've found on google. I still can't get it to run.

The installation stops at following status:

After a few minutes at the status above, it displays this message:

I'm really at the end of my knowlegde, I tried all the different solutions told in the troubleshooting section of your site. Any additional tipps?

I am administrator and have disabled UAC.
Thank you

Ok now I somehow managed to get it installed.

Next problem...it's getting stupid.

I can't start the service. Following entries are in the logfile:

Unknown winsock error 10038

:( :(

Thanks for the link.

I figured out that MSHELPER.DLL was missing.

I did a complete new installation of Win 7 Pro 64bit.....
still not able to install PostgreSql......very frustrating

It's finally up and running. I didn't do anything after the first attempt installing it on the fresh win 7 installation. I just tried a second time and it went through.
