PostgreSQL Problems

Hi!

I cant' get PostgreSQL working. I keep getting the "Unable to connect to this database. Please check the configuration" error message. None of the troubleshooting or other posts on this forum have been of any help.

When I go to "services", I get the following message when I try and start Postgre:

"The postgresql-8.4 -PostgreSQL server 8.4 service on Local Computer started then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs."

I've tried everything I could find on this forum (uninstalled/re-installed many times as per proper instructions) , but I still cant get it working. Very frustrating.

Please check our Firewall Guide as security software can sometimes interfere with the operation of PostgreSQL.

If that doesn't help then open a Support Ticket requesting remote assistance and include a link to this thread.
