Posted: Thu Jul 05, 2012 8:10 am8.3, 8.4 and 9.0 are all supported. If you're on a 64 bit machine, 9.0-x64 is a good choice, otherwise they're all pretty similar.

Posted: Thu Jul 05, 2012 11:44 amTry dbpass, svcPASS83 and postgrespass - one of those three is the most likely password. If not, the steps you linked will work to remove that user and then you can recreate it during the rnstallation process.
