PostgreSQL with mac emulator

I am trying to use PT using a mac emulator (new lock poker on mac is HORRIBLE and doesn't allow HUD. Windows version does).
I have a mac and am using VM fusion ware to run Windows XP professional.

I cannot log into the database.
It may be a password issue. I find that I do have Postgre8.4 installed.
I HATE windows and it is probably just my windows inexperience but I don't know what my password is- I never installed it. I follow directions to strip the password but none of the instructions here show the options I see- (supposed to go to folders that don't seem to exist).

I have wasted many hours- I just want to log into the database and have tried every way I know how (but I don't know windows well) and failed.

Any Help Please

Gary

Our default password it 'dbpass', but PokerTracker doesn't install 8.4 by default, so try the password 'postgresspass' instead.
If that doesn't work either, and you don't know what password was set when you installed PostgreSQL then you can remove the need for PostgreSQL passwords: How To: Remove PostgreSQL Password.
